Few
7/27/2010
I had some computer problems yesterday. At around 2:30 in the afternoon my computer screen went black and wouldn't come back on. The light said the power was still on, and I could still hear it running, but nothing was on the screen. I had to wait until the battery ran out for it to shut down. Then when I plugged it back in and pressed the power button, thankfully it came back on. I was so worried. I've lost everything on my computer so many times, I can't do it anymore. And if I couldn't get the computer working again, I wouldn't have one anymore, and wouldn't be able to afford a new one. It did start working again, but if it happened once it'll happen again, because obviously there's some sort of problem.
Birthday
7/25/2010
So, it's my birthday. Not a very happy one. I never expected it to be, I don't remember the last time I had a "happy birthday" but today was bad. I've still only gotten one card (not including one of my great aunts, who I'm living with), from my grandfather, one aunt forgot, and I don't know about anyone else. My great aunt took me to Red Lobster for my birthday, but they took my favorite dish off the menu, and the only thing I eat there: Crab Linguini Alfredo. Instead it's now Shrimp and Crab Linguini Alfredo with tamatoes. I've been eating crab linguini alfredo at Red Lobster since I was 11. I only got there a few times a year, but it was one of my favorite foods. I ate there no more than 4 months ago and they still had it then! Why did they have to ruin it? I had to eat crappy flounder, which I hate, because there wasn't much else to choose from. Now I only have one restaurant left. Everything else was either ruined, or took my favorite off the menu. I did get the Chocolate Wave cake, which I love, best chocolate cake I've ever had, and cheddar bay bisuits, but since they don't have my Crab Linguini Afredo anymore I'll probably never get to eat either again. Just like I'll never get to eat crab linguini alfredo again.
The Color of Money

If you liked the last online gambling site I linked to, you're really going to love this one. Online gambling has a number of advantages over going to a real life casino. Ease of access, availability, and no annoying crowds are just some of the bonuses. I know, you're thinking "There's only one downside, no slot machines," and you're wrong. There are online slot machines, and Online Slot Machines can tell you all about them. Slot Machine Fan gives you all the in depth info and tips you could ever want about gambling with slot machines online. There's a plethora of information on choosing the right slot machine website for you, strategies for playing, details on tournaments, and even more resources for you to check out through their website. They also give you the low down on the different types of slot machine games, like $1 Million Pyramid and Addams Family Slots. If you are concerned about your privacy while gambling online, they have a section that covers that as well. So, if you are interested in internet slots, head on over to their website and check out some of the most popular website slots. Why wait? Go get started today! Have fun!
Animal Welfare
7/23/2010
Reposted from a comment on a blog: I love animals too, though I don't value all life. I despise humans, and this is the reason why. Blatant animal cruelty is widespread, and the masses don't care. They're happy dropping donkeys from the sky, putting kittens in ovens, dragging dogs being their car, and throwing peoples pets off bridges. It's hard to have any compassionate feelings for humanity when they show so much evil. Animals are innocent, people are not. It's easy to see that animals need to be protected if you understand this way. But people are so arrogant, they think they're such wonderful, special creatures. Humans might be more intelligent than animals (and even that can be disputed with all the idiots in the world), but they're not better. My cat is better behaved than most people, and knows right from wrong better. If a cat can be taught, and dogs can be taught, and even mice can be taught, why can't people act decently? I would caution against supporting PETA though, over such organizations like SPCA, and not just because of their protests. In theory People for Ethical Treatment of Animals is a good thing, but PETA has no problem with animals being treated badly if they're the ones doing it.
Korra
7/22/2010
Three days until my birthday and I am not looking forward to it. My mom called yesterday so I took the opportunity to tell her I decided to bring the cat up here after all. Now my Allie cat is here, but I might have to take her back down because so far she's not drinking any water or using the litterbox, although she seems fine in every other way. Nickelodeon announced yesterday there is going to be a new Avatar called The Legend of Korra. Rumors about it have been on Airbender fan message boards for a while, and new info was supposed to be released by Mike and Bryan at Comic-Con, so this was an early surprise. It's about the new Avatar, a waterbender named Korra who has to learn airbending from Aang's son and fight anti-benders (people who I assume don't like benders) in Republic City, a melting pot of nations. I'm excited, but it doesn't come out until sometime in 2011, so I can't really look forward to it. I can only focus on the here and now, and not look to the future.
Tedious Work
7/20/2010
I've been moving all my fanlistings to a new domain, and it is not fun. The actual moving itself part was easy. All I had to do was set up a redirect in cPanel, then move all the files to the new folder by FTP. It's having to check all of them, submitting all the moved forms, and sending out emails to the members that's the hard part. I never even got through it all last time. The redirect was there sending visitors to the new site, so I just left it the way it was. I'm taking a little break right now.
Roll of the Dice
7/16/2010
A casino was added in this city a few years ago. Despite some peoples trepidations, it proved to be immensely popular, and a huge success. Because of how well the slots did, they recently started doing table games as well. There ended up being a big to do over people on welfare going to the casino and spending their benefits there, and whether it should be allowed. Personally, I think in general people should be able to do what they want with their state given money, but not this. I've never been big on gambling myself. I have so little money to begin with, and no desire to lose it. But I can see why it is so popular. Not everyone has the luxury of having a casino in their city, or the means to get to one. Online gambling sites like Mucho Online Casino Games help fill the void. The site lists the best and safest sites to game at with other information on those sites, the games, and gambling safely. I recommend any person looking to gamble online to research potential game sites they are considering playing at. Using resources like MOCG helps you make an informed choice, and choose the site that best suits them and their needs.
Heat Wave
7/10/2010
The heat has been tremendous these past few days, and luckily today there was a small break. There were some scary sounding storms yesterday, but thankfully they didn't last too long, and they brought with them cool breezes and sweet smelling air. I've been catching up on my anime this past week. I finished Durarara!! (still good, but not as good as the first half, I look forward to the OVA), and caught up with Bleach. I'm starting several new series. I've already seen the first ep of Ookami-san (eh), and am about to start Mitsudomoe, Amagami SS, Seitokai Yakuindomo, High School of the Dead, Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu, Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin, Nurarihyon no Mago, Shiki, and possibily Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail. I still haven't finished the first Black Lagoon, and I'm not sure if there are any spoilers, so I might hold off on it for now. Densetsu and Nurarihyon got bad reviews from ANN for their first eps, but they have my favorite seiyuu, Fukuyama Jun, so I have to watch anyway. I also watched the first episode of Kuroshitsuji II. I'd already read on MAL and ANN that A-1 Pictures pulled a fast one on us, so I was expecting what happened. I almost wish I hadn't so it would've been a surprise. I'm still waiting for the second episode to pass judgement though.
Away From Home
7/8/2010
Due to issues at home I'm staying with my great aunt at the moment. There's no cable, internet (I'm leeching off a neighbors wireless), or air conditioning here, and she can be hard to get along with sometimes, but it's better than what's going on at "home", if I can call it that anymore.
Bad TLA Reviews
7/4/2010
The Last Airbender, the live action movie version of the first season of the acclaimed Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: TLA has been getting terrible reviews. The first I heard about it was on The Rotten Tomatoes Show on Current TV. I tried to keep an open mind about it all this time, because I'm such a big M. Night Shayamalan fan, but when info on all the changes he made, and when the trailers started to come out with clips of the characters talking, the acting and writing seemed pretty bad. It turned out that the acting and writing was really bad. M. Night Shyamalan is such a great writer and director I know he could have made this into a wonderful movie, which makes all this even more disappointing. I decided not to put myself through the stress of my favorite series being butchered on the big screen, even though they briefly put in my favorite character, Azula, at the end. It's not known yet whether they'll continue with the series as they planned. It all depends on how much money it makes at the box office.
Downhill
7/1/2010
I haven't posted here in a while due to serious personal, real life issues. My mother was fired from her job and is currently looking for work. We were only just paying the bills before, now we have no money, not even enough to cover the rent, let alone the rest of the bills. That's not even the half of what's going on, but I don't want to talk about the rest. My Neopets Altador Cup team is losing spectacularly. We're going to be the first team to break the "last years second wins first" tradition. I had wanted to do more to help Shenkuu this year, but since all this stuff came up I wasn't able to play anymore. I don't think at this point it would have helped at all though anyway. We're in 11th place.
